The NCERT 12th accountancy book set is printed as three official textbooks — Accountancy-I (Partnership), Accountancy Part-II (Company Accounts) and Computerised Accounting System — and every one of them is linked below. The set runs 14 chapters across 604 printed pages.
The split matters because each book numbers its chapters from 1. “Chapter 2” could mean Admission of a Partner in Accountancy-I (NCERT, p. 48) or Issue and Redemption of Debentures in Accountancy Part-II (NCERT, p. 75), and the third book also starts at Chapter 1.

Which 12th accountancy book PDF do you need?
The common mistake is assuming all ten accounting chapters run straight through one book. They run across two, and the third — Computerised Accounting System — is the one students forget exists. Three routes below tell you which book to open.
- By topic.
- Partnership — Partnership Deed, capital accounts, profit and loss appropriation, goodwill, admission, retirement, death, dissolution — is in Accountancy-I, chapters 1 to 4 (pages 1–194).
- Company accounts — share capital, forfeiture, debentures and their redemption, financial statements, comparative analysis, ratios, cash flow — is in Accountancy Part-II, its chapters 1 to 6 (pages 1–286).
- Spreadsheets and software — computerised accounting systems, spreadsheet functions, payroll, asset accounting, graphs — is in Computerised Accounting System, chapters 1 to 4 (pages 1–124).
- By chapter number. The numbers restart in every book, so a number alone never identifies the book. Accounting for Share Capital is Part-II’s first chapter (NCERT, p. 1); Accounting Ratios is its fifth (NCERT, p. 194); Cash Flow Statement is its sixth (NCERT, p. 241).
- How to confirm. Match the chapter title on the first page, or go by what the teacher called the topic — “Partnership Accounts” versus “Company Accounts”. The PDF filenames give it away: leac10* is book one, leac20* is book two, leca10* is the computerised book. Verify on the official NCERT website (ncert.nic.in): leac101.pdf opens Accountancy-I’s first chapter, Accounting for Partnership: Basic Concepts, and confirms where the partnership chapters sit.
What each Class 12 Accountancy book teaches
Accountancy-I — Partnership Accounts (194 pages) is the foundation of the paper. It opens with the Nature of Partnership (NCERT, p. 1) and builds through capital accounts, profit and loss appropriation, goodwill and past adjustments to dissolution of the firm (NCERT, p. 156).
Accountancy Part-II — Company Accounts and Analysis (286 pages) is the heaviest of the three. It covers share capital, issue and redemption of debentures, financial statements, accounting ratios (NCERT, p. 194) and the cash flow statement (NCERT, p. 241). Accounting for Share Capital runs 74 printed pages and Accounting Ratios carries 28 named sections — both inside the 286-page second book.
Computerised Accounting System (124 pages) is the separate third textbook. It teaches computerised accounting systems, spreadsheets, payroll and asset accounting, and graphs and charts (pages 1–124). Its chapters also start at 1.

Sources and data verification
- Where the figures come from: the three NCERT Class 12 Accountancy textbook editions this directory indexes — Accountancy-I (leac10*), Accountancy Part-II (leac20*) and Computerised Accounting System (leca10*) — official PDFs on ncert.nic.in.
- What the dataset covers: the chapters, named sections and verified numbered figures we could index from those PDFs — not the full CBSE curriculum, and not a complete concept index, because OCR grouped some sections inconsistently.
- Academic session: this listing is maintained for the 2026-27 academic session.
- Who settles what: NCERT settles textbooks, editions and PDFs; CBSE settles curriculum, syllabus and examinations. To confirm a textbook edition, check NCERT, not CBSE.
