The NCERT titles and the subject each belongs to
| NCERT book | Subject | What the page gives |
|---|---|---|
| Santoor | English | The Class 3 English reader broken down chapter by chapter, with the textbook sections and exercises each chapter covers. |
| Bansuri I | Hindi | The Class 3 Hindi book organised chapter-wise, so a poem or story is one tap away. |
| Maths Mela | Mathematics | The Class 3 mathematics book split into chapters, with the exercises each chapter carries. |
| Environmental Studies | Environmental Studies | The Class 3 EVS book grouped by chapter, with a pointer to the official NCERT PDF for the book. |
What changed in the revised list
- The current Class 3 set uses the new NCERT titles: Santoor, Bansuri I and Maths Mela, alongside the separate Environmental Studies book.
- Older lists from earlier sessions may show different book names, so if you searched for ‘3rd standard books’ and saw unfamiliar titles, this is why.
- In the current NCERT list, Class 3 is the first class with its own Environmental Studies textbook; Classes 1 and 2 do not have a separate EVS book.

Why do the Class 3 book names look different from older lists?
